Ajax Home Shirt 1997/98 (XL) is the home kit worn by the Dutch club during the 1997/98 campaign, produced by Umbro as Ajax secured a domestic double in the Eredivisie and KNVB Cup under manager Morten Olsen. This Ajax shirt comes from a successful late‑1990s era for the Amsterdam side and reflects the traditional home design long associated with the club.
The design features the famous central red panel with white sides, enhanced by subtle tonal Ajax graphics running through the panel. The front carries the ABN AMRO sponsor, with Umbro branding and the club crest completing the chest details. A polo collar with a v-neck insert is finished with red and white trim on the collar and sleeves. This Ajax Umbro shirt remains a classic Ajax retro shirt from the late‑1990s Eredivisie period.
