Das dunkelblaue Trikot besticht durch ein wirbelndes, tonales blaues Muster auf der Vorderseite mit leuchtend orangefarbenen Akzenten an den Seiten und Ärmeln sowie einem Rundhalsausschnitt. Auf der Brust prangt das Logo von Etihad Airways, Adidas und das Wappen des New York City FC. MLS-Patches zieren beide Ärmel, und Villas Rückennummer 7 ist ebenfalls zu sehen. Der markante Look erinnert an das MLS-Design Mitte der 2010er-Jahre und findet sich auch auf diesem Adidas-Trikot von New York City aus der Saison 2016/17 wieder.
