Het Ajax thuisshirt 1997/98 (M) is een klassiek Ajax-shirt uit een dominant Eredivisie-seizoen, geproduceerd door Umbro toen de club zowel de landstitel als de KNVB Beker veroverde. Dit thuisshirt weerspiegelt een periode van nationaal succes, waarin Ajax ruim voor de concurrentie eindigde en zijn status in het Nederlandse voetbal in de late jaren 90 versterkte.
Het ontwerp kenmerkt zich door een opvallend rood middenpaneel met witte zijkanten, aangevuld met tonale Ajax-logo's op de voorkant. Rode en witte details zijn te vinden op de polokraag met V-hals en de mouwmanchetten, terwijl de ABN AMRO-sponsor prominent op de borst prijkt naast het Umbro-logo.
