Het Ajax thuisshirt 1997/98 (XL) is het thuistenue dat de Nederlandse club droeg tijdens het seizoen 1997/98. Het shirt werd geproduceerd door Umbro en Ajax behaalde onder leiding van trainer Morten Olsen de dubbel in de Eredivisie en de KNVB Beker.
Het ontwerp kenmerkt zich door het beroemde rode middenpaneel met witte zijkanten, versterkt door subtiele, tonale Ajax-graphics die door het paneel lopen. Op de voorkant prijkt de sponsor ABN AMRO, met Umbro-branding en het clublogo als details op de borst. Een polokraag met een V-hals is afgewerkt met rode en witte biezen op de kraag en mouwen.
