Het Zuid-Afrikaanse thuisshirt 1996/98 (L) is een klassiek Zuid-Afrikaans shirt uit een bepalende periode voor het nationale elftal, geproduceerd door Kappa voor het thuistenue tijdens hun periode waarin ze de Afrika Cup wonnen en zich voor het eerst kwalificeerden voor het WK.
Dit vintage Zuid-Afrikaanse shirt heeft een opvallend geometrisch patroon in goud, zwart en wit, met groene en zwarte accenten op de polokraag. Het Kappa-logo staat op de borst, zonder sponsorlogo, waardoor het ontwerp strak en authentiek voor die tijd blijft. Het Zuid-Afrikaanse Kappa-shirt met korte mouwen weerspiegelt de internationale voetbaldesigns van eind jaren 90 en wordt nog steeds geassocieerd met de tenues uit de periode 1996/97 en 1997/98.
